We are looking for a passionate and motivated Administration Officer to help staff in our Macmillan Benefits Project
You will be joining a highly effective team of approx. 36 staff and 4 current volunteers, supported and guided by a committed board of trustee directors.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To be a main point of contact for access to the Macmillan service by telephone, in-person or by email.
2. Liaison with statutory, health and social care staff and voluntary organisations, making referrals where necessary and maintaining appropriate referrer records.
3. Recording of casework on the computerised case management system (Advice Pro – training will be provided)
4. Issue client feedback surveys and collate results.
5. Administer Power NI referrals
6. Completion of client Blue Badge application form as required (training will be provided).
7. To assist with Advice Space reception operations/duties within the Belfast office as required.
8. To assist in the collation and administration of project financial duties.
9. To manage stocks of information, publications, stationery, forms and leaflets.
10. Collation and filing.
11. Assist the Coordinator in compiling the reporting requirements for Macmillan Cancer Support.
12. Processing post.
13. To take notes and minutes as required.
14. Create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well-managed and dignity at work is upheld.
15. Keep up to date with Advice Space aims, policies and procedures and ensure these are followed.
16. Abide by health and safety guidelines and share responsibility for own health and safety and that of colleagues.
17. Undertake any other reasonable tasks within the post holder’s capacity.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at grade C or above.
One year’s full-time (or part-time equivalent) administration experience in a busy office environment.
IT skills and proficiency with standard modern office software packages.
Knowledge of audit and data protection principles.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Prioritisation of own work, meeting deadlines and managing workload effectively
Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to work as part of a team, and autonomously.
Reliability in recording information and enquiries.
Understanding the needs of vulnerable adults with cancer, also their families and carers.
