We are looking for a passionate and motivated Human Resources Manager to work closely with the CEO and help our staff and volunteers have a great experience working for Advice Space. You will be the first point of contact for anything HR related and you will always drive a positive experience.

 

Key duties

·             Provide Human Resources generalist advice and support covering but not limited to, recruitment and on-boarding, absence management, health, safety and wellbeing, employee engagement, employee

relations including: disciplinary and grievance; capability and performance management.

·             Lead in the development of HR programs and people projects, contributing to business improvement initiatives that ensure the delivery of business strategy and development of an employee engaged

culture.

·             HR Administration duties: onboarding new starts and collating documentation, completing

documentation, completing exit interviews and feeding into payroll reviews monthly. 

·             Delivering effective induction programmes for new staff and measuring outcomes. Ensuring relevant checks are conducted when applicable (e.g. fair employment, Access NI, Right to work etc.), keeping

employee records up to date, filing electronically and storing within specified time scales.

·             Ensure the company complies with relevant employment and equality statutory requirements and that

any policies/procedures are maintained and communicated.

·             Support in the delivery of training for staff to improve awareness and understanding of the company

HR policies and procedures.

·             Provide accurate and timely management information, and ensuring compliance with Company

process and data protection requirements

·             Responsible for updating the document retrieval system in line with the Company Document

Retention Policy.

·             Act as a representative, developing strong relationships internally and externally.

The essentials

·             CIPD qualified (at July26 or expected to be by Dec26)

·             2 years paid HR experience

·             Minimum of 2 GCSE’s Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)

·             Working knowledge of current Northern Ireland employment law and HR best practice with evidence

of continued professional development

·             IT literacy in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·             Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport and trust quickly

·             Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively work with senior management

and staff at all levels of the organisation

·             Experience of working with or managing volunteers
